Parents: We are pleased to provide opportunities for your children during The Gathering.
We ask that you give clear guidelines to your children that they are either to be with you
or in one of the activities. Your cooperation will help us to provide a safe environment for
your child and will not distract others in the building. |

Title: Children’s
Sign Language
Time: 4:30-5:30
Come and learn how to communicate and express your Christian beliefs with sign
language. This class, taught by Julie Moberly, will be geared for children

hymns, it is our hope that they will be willing to enhance our Sunday worship
with this expression of praise and faith. Parents are invited to stay and participate
with their children or gather in the nursery for a time with younger children
and casual conversation with other parents. Contact: Julie Moberly 200-7790
or julieandsteve@cavtel.net

may take many forms. Led by Pastor Gragg.

Time: 6:30 - 8:00

Title: Oberammergau
Passion Play, Wednesday, October 1
Time: 7:00-8:00
Join us on Wednesday, October 1 to learn about this play, some of the history,
and the possibility of seeing the play in Germany during July 2010. This historic
and spiritually enriching experience is only performed one summer a decade.
Whether you might like historic information, are planning to attend with a
different group, or may have an interest in attending with June Harvey and
other members from FLC, this is a presentation that you will not want to miss!
Join us on the third floor to hear more.
Title: Covenantal
Conversations, Oct 8 - 12
Have you wondered at times about beliefs and practices of Jewish people, and
how Christians should understand our relations with them? The Gathering this
fall will include a class led by Dr. Paul Jersild that will address this topic.
A book produced by Lutheran theologians with Jewish respondents, Covenantal
Conversations: Christians in Dialogue with Jews and Judaism, will be read and
discussed, one chapter at a time, on six Wednesday evenings from October 8
to November 12. This is an opportunity to grow in our own faith as we study
our unique relationship with Jews and Judaism.
