Men's Team News!

Congratulations to the First Lutheran Men's team! In a one hour and
forty-five minute slugfest, First Lutheran topped Bethel Baptist of
Chesapeake to win the Men's Church Division of the Tidewater Championship
Tournament. First Lutheran led early and held the lead the entire way,
winning a seven inning game 41-27 at Churchland Park in Portsmouth.
Seven players for First Lutheran homered in the game. First Lutheran
scored multiple runs in every inning on the way to the victory.
Fall Ball starts on Monday, August 18 for the Men's team, and the
First Lutheran Co-ed team begins play on Friday, August 15. A full
schedule of Men's and Co-ed games for the fall season will be released
soon.

First Lutheran Co-ed Team
|
First Lutheran Co-ed Softball had a great
season! We played our way into the finals of the Saturday Co-ed Championships
and won our final two games against WVEC Television 18-10 and 16-4
in order to take the title.
The First Lutheran team won every game in the double-elimination tournament
in a sweep to victory.

The co-ed team will play on Friday nights in the fall,
beginning on August
15th. A schedule of games will be announced in early August. The
First Lutheran Men’s Team is still playing in the playoffs for the
Men’s League
Spring Season. The next games for the FLC Men start at 6:30PM on Tuesday
night, July 1. The Men’s team is already making plans to compete
in the
Tidewater Championships’ Church Division in early August.
