LUTHERAN WORLD RELIEF HAS ISSUED AN URGENT NEED FOR HEALTH KITS AND QUILTS FOR HAITI! 

During times of emergency, quilts provide warmth, comfort and even shelter.  And when the difference between good health and disease is a bar of soap, a health kit is truly life-saving.  Christian Service would like to ask all who can sew a straight line to consider putting a quilt top together.  You can pick up the quilt blocks and directions in the Welcome Center.  Please considering donating the following items for Health Kits:  dark colored hand towels, dark colored wash cloths, adult sized toothbrushes in their original package, sturdy combs, metal nail files, nail clippers, or  band-aids. Please place your contributions in the box in the Welcome Center labeled "Kits and Quilts for Haiti.  If you would prefer to make a financial contribution at this time, please use the white offering envelopes in the pew racks and make sure to indicate "Christian Service".  All items are mailed and your contributions to cover postage costs are greatly appreciated.

As a congregation of God's people we celebrate this time to grow in discipleship.  Stewardship is about sharing the gifts God has so abundantly given us.  The form entitled, "Where is God Calling Me?" will be available in the Welcome Center beginning Ash Wednesday, February 17th through March 7th.  There will also be a Time and Talent survey for younger members of the congregation.  God calls us to be good stewards of the gifts and abilities with which we have been blessed.  During this season of Lent, please prayerfully consider where you can serve.  Where is He calling you?  If you have questions, please contact the Stewardship Committee co-chairs, Rich Grimm (546-7629) or Brian McElligott (407-3182).
